Educational Performances for Students

“CCA's programs enrich the educational experience of Maine's children of all ages. What valuable outreach that brings performers into the lives and dreams of our young people.”

-Music Teacher, Bangor

Class Acts, the Educational Outreach Program at the Collins Center for the Arts, promotes student involvement in the arts to enhance learning and help build social skills.

The CCA serves more than 200 public and private schools in nine of Maine's 16 counties as well as a large number of home-schooled students. Nearly 10,000 students take advantage of our performance events each season.

Since 2001, we've launched several new programs, including the CCA Summer Theater Tech Camp for High School Students and The Thomas Lynch Faculty Mentor Program, both of which emphasize the importance of integrating the arts into the educational experience of secondary and post-secondary students.

We hope you will take a moment to look at our educational events this season, and we appreciate your help in spreading the word about our opportunities to educators, parents, and community members.

To order tickets, please use the link to the printer-friendly order form located after each performance listing. The links with each listing provide additional information about each performance, including educational activities, curriculum information, and study guides.
